Lotus Flower

a pic of the lotus flower anyone. I'd like to use it as my screen saver until the album comes out....reminding myself its on its way:)

Lotus Flower

The lotus flower starts as a small flower down at the bottom of a pond in the mud and muck. It slowly grows up towards the waters surface continually moving towards the light. Once it come to the surface of the water the lotus flower begins to blossom and turn into a beautiful flower.

Within Hinduism and Buddhism the lotus flower has become a symbol for awakening to the spiritual reality of life.

As the lotus flower grows up from the mud into a object of great beauty people also grow and change into something more beautiful (hopefully!). So the symbol represents the struggle of life at its most basic form.

Egyption Blue Lotus




In the beginning were the waters of chaos ... Darkness covered the waters until ... the Primeval Water Lily rose from the abyss. Slowly the blue water lily opened its petals to reveal a young god sitting in its golden heart. A sweet perfume drifted across the waters and light streamed from the body of this Divine Child to banish universal darkness. This child was the Creator, the Sun God, the source of all life.

So the Primeval Water Lily closed its petals at the end of each day... Chaos reigned through the night until the god within the water lily returned....

"LotusFlower" is also the name for the font of the 3121 lettering...

On a side note, Mayte's website boasts the lotus flower on her website. Mayte said she loves the Lotus flower because in the most difficult of situations the Lotus flower perseveres. It survives.

Prince is using the same flower. Interesting how some things of the past returns.
