But Prince has to pay a lot of money to Bruno Bergonzi e Michele Vicino that composed "The most beautiful takin' me to paradise in the world". I guess all royalties of TMBGITW will be trasnferred from Prince to Bergonzi and Vicino bank account.

Perhaps the songs are simliar, but I don't think Prince set out to 'plagerize' somebody else's song, and Prince isn't stupid enough to release a maxi-single completely with no less than a half dozen versions of the song complete with different instrumental and vocal tracks of somebody else's idea. He's got more pride than that .... and certainly a lot more talent.

Can someone please post a comparison of the two songs. (lyrics and music, with audio if possible).

I don't doubt Prince copies and pilfers from others given his history. But I can't respond to this without *English* evidence, lol.

I don't know... Some parts of 'Pheromone' [Come album] seems to be, at least thematically and imagery-wise, to be lifted straight out of the Song of Songs from the Old Testament - but then, I would call that inspiration.

Art/creations don't spring out of thin air, but from an inspired subconscious look at this world's past and culture.
Even Shakespeare, considered a thematic pioneer when it comes to plays, has lifted themes and story lines straight out of Greek mythological and Scandinavian literature. 'Hamlet' is a complete reproduction of a scandinavian play.

I think this can be easily settled, re release both songs and see who sells the most I know where my money would be going. I don't for a minute believe that Prince stole anyones music he has too much of his own going on. And even if the other song sounds similar I am sure that P has improved it emensely !!! beyond what any other mere mortal could.
