I agree with your questioning the city... Wasn't Vegas the site of The "Battle of Armageddon" in Stephen King's Movie, "The Stand"? Lol. I think he likes the fact that it's a 24-hour city... So time does not matter... I think he is also avoiding "Cold Regions" for as long as he can. He seems to play more "special setlists" in Vegas than he does anywhere else.. Watch.. He'll be performing remix versions.. P Funk and James Brown songs.. Sheila, Eric, Najee, Atlanta Bliss (Where is he? In his skin?), The Hornheads, Lenny K, Rosie, Morris, Jerome, Brownmark, Doctor, Larry and George Clinton will be there.. I really want to go to this since I'm over in San Diego but I haven't asked my job if I can take off on Monday & they might say no to me. The only "special" shows might be some band members' or his wife's hometowns. Its doesn't seem fair to recreate "Rave 2000+" in Vegas every tour! Those tickets must cost $250+ a piece! This isn't as great a mistake as touring Europe in '87' (Sign O' the Times) while giving The US cities a movie. It's his right though... Just think.. He doesn't tour with The Time anywhere else, but Vegas and Minneapolis. I envy your opportunity (honestly). He spoils The Vegas fans (+ The Cali fans who travel there). | |
