Is this song about cats or not?

well, obviously yes. i mean, good thread and all but the preponderance of the evidence makes it pretty clear, imho.

I always thought the song was about a new sandwich called the Cunt Roll. And cos it was a bit of a wimp, it was a Pussy Cunt Roll.

I never did understand lyrics.

The worst thing about the internet for me is the amount of bloody cat pictures. 'Bloody' cat pictures I'd appreciate. But bloody cats all the bloody time. That and pussy.

The song is a reference to the myth that Prince has a lion in his pocket and he's ready to roar. Actually that's not a lion but a pussy and that pussy totally controls his purse. Obvious. purse

Imago, isn't it just about vaginas?

Or is this the only one that isn't (along with Scarlet Pussy)?

(BTW, women who have strong muscular control of their vaginas are generally far more satisfied, as are their partners, so it's a very educational message. Vaginal control is also good for childbirth, leading to less chance of rupture and quicker, healthier recovery.)

he used to listen to doves cry but now the roaring from his pockets is alllll he hears neutral probably totally drowns those little doves out.

and you know what else? maybe if he didn't wear such tight pants those lions wouldn't be roaring all the time like that. please prince, have some compassion! if you must ignore your doves then at least keep the lions in a safer place.

Is this why the pussy in this song was able to skip rope with her friends?

FUCK 1+1+1=3, and everyone who subscribes to that horsecrap. Including, unfortunately, Our Hero. sigh

Pussy Control is one of the strongest statements of feminist ideals and girl power to come out of any male performer, let alone this one whose current ideas about gender roles belong in the 15th century.

Pussy Control Prince was the Prince that I became a fan of. Sexist Bad Math Prince is kind of an embarassment.

Let's hope he comes to his senses. pray

I agree with everything you said but, ere, how is 1+1+1=3 bad math?

She means that in the sense that women's acceptance of a patriarchal 'pecking order' as dictated by theocracy is bad math--not in the literal sense.

nod Thanks.

I suppose if a person belives in God, then God should reasonably come first. But the idea that one "1" (men) naturally are placed above the other "1" (women) is some damned sketchy math.

So the first 1 is God, the second is man and the third is woman? Ahh, that's nice. I'd have chosen my dog as the third. More friendly and craps on the carpet less. Or a shed. You can't beat sheds when you're a guy.

But actually, good math would dictate that if a+b+c=d, a,b,c are interchangeable and don't follow any particular order...

true. He indicates the "order" elsewhere, but 1+1+1=3 itself isn't bad math.

i would bet that somewhere in the world, someone has conducted a scientific study which has proven the correlation between having a love for cats and a hatred of math. nod in fact, hang on a sec while i google it. ..

look, i thought the reason for this thread was to promote a fair and open discussion of whether or not prince is a cat person, and if so what does that mean?

but, from your reaction i would guess that you have lost interest in the topic and this disappoints me, but i know how that can be, especially for someone who creates a lot of threads around here.

so, instead of posting the lengthy research paper i composed entitled: cat owners: mathematically inclined?, i will simply remind you of theoretical physicist erwin schrodinger, who centered a lot of his research around cats.

in fact schrodinger's quantum theory of superposition involves putting a cat in a box with some other stuff, then letting the cat out later, or not letting it out, or something like that.

so, in conclusion, i'd just like to say that maybe your question about prince and his cat-loving tendencies has more to do with quantum indeterminacy than you would like to admit. in other words, maybe the song is about cats until you play it; or alternatively, maybe the song is NOT about cats until you play it. hope this helps.

thank you, that is all. neutral

well, actually, i feel the need for an addendum: although i adore cats i'd rather have birds and deal with feathers than have cats and deal with cat hair because cat hair sticks on clothing and feathers will brush right off. i bet prince feels the same way, too, because we all know he loves clothes
