Okay for those of you, including myself who were largely disappointed with 21 Nights, there is a nice coffee table color book that is full of Prince photos (many we've seen before but some new as well) facts and information that came out this September. It's called "Prince: Life & Times." It's VERY nicely done in terms of layout and definitely worth the $31 or so that I paid for it. It chronicles his career from before he started up to 21 nights and is a wonderful collector's item! I purchased mine from Barnes & Noble but I believe it's also at Amazon.com Enjoy!

lots of great pix, lots of great stories and quotes and it is very very detailed.

it was inexpensive.

everyone should ask for this for xmas!

I won't buy it because I don't like the cover. I mean...a life and times book should have a collage of some sort...and He isn't even holding a guitar. It's not about judging a book by it's cover...we know Prince already.

I cannot connect that picture with the title..."Life and Times." 2 me it is lame.

Being a graphic designer myself, I thought the cover could have been MUCH better because I thought it was too busy. However, I did like the purple velvet like material they used. It's a matter of taste, but if you're a Prince fan, I think this is a wonderful book to add for your collection. It's full of information, some of which I didn't know and I think it'll take a year to make it through all of the content it offers. I love the timeline that chronicles the major events in his life. I can't believe how inexpensive this book is to be so professionally and beautifully done.

Id only buy it if it were a book ABOUT Prince's coffee tables!!

I've collected all of those 'old' pictures of Prince in the last 30 years and i refuse to give those publishers any money for stuff i already have and facts I already know.

i just got mine over the weekend and this book is WAY BETTER than 21 nights ..question 4 those that have it tho, do some of the pages duplicate or is it just the copy that i got?
