I bought the first edition of this book years ago, and it
sucked big time! So boring that I stopped reading after
1/3 of the book...

I've studied Literature and Philosophy and I think there's something to be said for leaving things alone. Poetry and literature lose some of their shine and beauty when analysed.

I don't think Prince's lyrics are something that should be pulled apart searching for an ultimate meaning. It would make them seem less passionate and less like art.

Interesting idea though. I think his songs can speak volumes about their era and the society at that time, particularly what was taboo and shocking.
