I've noticed that several of you seem to have an incredible spiritual connection with Prince that is very rare between musicians and their fans.

Alot of you can tell what he's feeling by his photographs, know his intentions before he releases an album, and even know when his soul is on fire with the boundless love of the universe or when it is overcast with doubt from existing in a cruel cruel world. In short, many of you have a direct connection to his soul.

Do you feel you have a spiritual connection with Prince?
On what levels have you experienced this?
When you cry, do you feel he is crying at the same time?

Do you feel that on some spiritual plane, you were destine to have both your souls connect, but are waiting for just the right moment to do so?

Yes, I feel a Spiritual connection with Prince. Prince offering his heart through music is definitely how the connection has grown over the years. The way we recieve that kind of love is our engagement with that person.

I was flipping through the chanels last night and stopped briefly on the "Chelsea," show to see, Ozzy Osbourne's wife,(Is it Sharon?) say that all of the girls of today want 2 "f" a rock star. Chelsea responds..."U must have back in the day, or something like that." And I thought, I would hope that no-one thought that about me. I have tried to explain to people what it was like to be 12 an have undeveloped thoughts about anything really. When I won the "Prince" album from the radio station, I saw something in his eyes, and loved him before I heard him sing. I felt I had always known him...Then listening to the album, deepened that crush that was still innocent of the desire to "f." This overlap between crush and sexual curiosity, or human development...was not guilty of world fed knowlege. I didn't look at Prince and think..."ooh...a rock star." As I grew as a girl, I watched Prince grow as a World Class Musician.

With years and learning...my heart grew fonder 4 Prince. Prince has always been in my heart. And my love 4 God was also deepened by Prince sharing his spiritual heart within music. It has been an intricate weave that I believe is destiny.

Here's my spiritual connection to Prince.....
he sent me a younger version of himself. Dude is prolly a couple inches taller, similar small body frame, facial structure, EYES (YES Y'ALL ), nose and mysteriousness. Dude ain't funky but his swagger is on point! (I only noticed he looks like Prince after I started payin attention to Prince)

Now if THAT ain't a spiritual connection, then I don't know wat is!

I just like him as an artist, respect him as a musician, and won't shy away from saying he's a flawed individual at times. (as we all are)

That's about the extent of my connection, in other words, just a normal wellwisher.

He has enough crazy devotees as it is.

Everything is in God's time a.k.a (Kairos), not man's time. He is the creater of all things, including time.


In the New Testament kairos means "the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts (e.g. Mark 1.15, the kairos is fulfilled).

An inexplicable mysticism... I think that his sadness or happiness can affect me but I don´t understand how or why the feeling that arises, if indeed there is some spiritual level that allows these kinds of connections between people, in this case an artist and their fans.

Interesting topic

* Years back, I've heard 3 of this songs (one of them was via a music video) and at least one of those 3 I loved to death.
* Then we come across his movie and I'm floored by his many talents even though I only saw the 2nd half of the movie.
* He happens to be performing on three programs I happen to be watching or the annoucement of a performance is made on a program I'd been watching.
* I happen to be a HUGE football fan, one of my favorite teams happens to be playing in the SuperBowl, giving me reason to watch. PLUS he's the HalfTime headliner.

Prince has been dogging me for years as those instances started to run closer together (heard about his GMA performance while watching AI's finale where he shows up unexpectedly).

I don't think any other artists has been trying to get my attention this much that I couldn't help checking him out.

Now with his music, I try to look at his from his POV. Try to see what his mindset was when he wrote certain songs that are particularly emotional or just plain special musically or lyrically.
A personal spiritual connection... only through one song. Many people have said that the song "Purple Rain" has influenced them in one way or another. The song that does that for me is "Gold." My siggy says it all

On a spiritual level, no. On a song level, yes. I don't believe in superstition.
