On that point I have the problem of choosing which of five editions of Gilmour's new album to get. 2 cd, 2 cd 1 dvd, 2 cd 2 dvd, 3 cd 2 dvd or 5 vinyl. Nice to have the choice though.

What I don't understand is that supposedly Prince had a party for the release...maybe that wasn't true...however if it was, the book is out already, right?

Just got another e-mail from Amazon saying it'll despatch sooner that expected after that little glitch delaying it for a ear. But now it's unavailable to pre-order on the site at the moment too. Maybe it is Limited Edition and they're just fulfillig the pre-orders

Yes, it'll be carried in bookstores. It will be available in bookstores and from online stores on the same day--neither will be allowed to legally sell it before the other. I'm sure there are plenty of smaller or independent bookstores who will opt not to carry it, but I would imagine most of the chains--B&N, Borders, Walden, etc.--would carry it in their music sections.

The price I paid was $31.50 American which is $45.10 New Zealand and I am happy at this price, they have also said thats the most I will pay even if the kiwi dollar plummets and it could be even cheaper. Release date on Amazon is September 30th and its expected to be in my hands by October 14th.
