If you were prince what would you do next?

If I was prince I would drop all religion and work with some new people.

First things first, I would update my damn website. mad

Then I would release a 21 Nights box set which would include the book, the CD and a DVD.

Then I would start recording an album to be released in early 2009.

Then I would get ready to embark on a world tour, do interviews and specials to promote the album.

After the tour is over, I'd take a much needed vacation.

If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask someone else first...

Dont you understand what working with new people means? Get in new musicians who have new Ideas to bring to the table and arent afraid to express them. Work with new producers, dangermouse for example did a great job on becks latest album or what about radioheads producer Nigel Godrich if hes good enough for paul mcartney hes good enough for prince. Otherwise I wont be holding out much hope for princes next album.

okay the new musicians thing i can dig ...

my problem is about a new producer rolleyes y should he really hop on2 the latest "let's get the newest hot producer 2 come in" theory, then everything will sound like timberland, etc ..where each damn song sounds the same and adding nothing. and with these producers of today, all they seem 2 know around the mixing board is programming beats

If I was Prince, I would tell my fans that if they don't like my new music they can go fuck themselves. evillol

But seriously, if I was Prince, I would use the time to travel and find some new inspiration to motivate me so that I could come back refreshed and energized to make new music and then tour.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

I'd make all the Indigo2 aftershows available for download at $7.77 a pop and then spend the rest of the year trawling internet fan forums looking at how happy I'd made my fanbase.

And now for a cup of tea.

Surprise himself and release an album with a radically new sound, and with three priorites: One third catchy pop songs a la Prince, one third mid-tempo and ballads like he's so good at, and finally, one third rock songs with a lean towards the heavier, edgier sound. Heavy, edgy rock songs are something he hasn't done a lot and I would like a Prince-take on that. Perhaps call the album Rockhard In A Funky Place wink
