Any Prince albums you WONT BUY?

me:

i wont buy THE VAULT, as in my eyes its just a wb rip off "through any old songs on their" album. if im gonna by that i might aswell start getting stuff like The Very Best of Prince and ULTIMATE...

'the vault' is actually a good little album of odds'n'sods that were previously only available as scratchy sounding bootlegs. i recommend it, especially if you can find it for cheap in a used bin.

as for a prince cd i refuse to buy, i will never ever buy a copy of 1999: the new master. yuck!

I wouldn't buy his 90's stuff but I don't feel bad. I LOVE prince and he is an experimental artist, but that doesn't mean I'm going to like everything he does and have to get it, he has a HUGE catalogue and I have what I do like.

I don't see how it's a 'WB rip off album' - Prince was under contract to do a certain amount of albums and delivered the last ones, C&D and The Vault, at the same time as complete packages, tracklisting, artwork and everything all done. None of it was down to WB.

I won't pay the eleventy zillion dollars necessary to obtain an original of Goldnigga - primarily cuz I hear it isn't all that great.

But if I decide I really want to hear what's on it...I have my sources.

I Love the whole album...and to highlight "I rock therefor I am," for a second, this is the song where Prince declares, that it is alright to say..."I don't need u 2 tell me I'm in the band...I rock therefore I am." Which by law, could get us all laminated passes. cool

Here we are in this big ole' empty room, starin' eachother down.
U want me just as much as I want U, let's stop foolin' around.~Prince

I have enough Prince albums to last me a long time... so the answer is: "Anything I don't have already"

But I refuse to buy "Graffiti Bridge"... or buy the movie... cuz if I buy the movie, I have to get the soundtrack.
Though my logic isn't really all that great razz

1999 The new Master shake

I can see myself 98 years old and chatting on the org with cane and walker in hand plus going to tribute concerts cause that guy name Prince will be long gone and will have to sit next to the speakers just to hear the dam music because my hearing aid died

While I have everything of Prince's, if I could warn anyone of any Prince project to stay as far away from as possible, it would have to be 1999: The New Master. There are no words as to how HORRIBLE that shit was and calling it "shit" is being too kind to that CD or whatever the hell it was. barf
