Covers on 21 nights

Hey people, just want to state why does Prince have to have Cover songs on the Live 21 nights cd, (21 nights Book) i mean Prince could at least have good songs such as Let's go crazy and Raspberry beret. I mean the four covers could of been replaced with his own stuff.

Any ideas of what they could of been our write a track list of your own?

Heres the 21 nights track list
3121 (From The 2006 Album "3121")

Girls & Boys (From The 1986 Album "Parade")

Song Of The Heart (From The 2006 Soundtrack "Happy Feet")

Delirious (From The 1982 Album "1999")

Just Like U (Monologue)

Satisfied (From The 2006 Album "3121")

Beggin' Woman Blues (Previously Unreleased Song)

Rock Steady feat. Beverly Knight (Aretha Franklin Cover)

Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin Cover)

Alphabet St. (From The 1988 Album "LoveSexy")

Indigo Nights (Previously Unreleased Song)

Misty Blue (Ella Fitzgerald Cover)

Baby Love (Mother's Finest Cover)

The One (From The 1998 Album "NewPower Soul")

All The Critics Love U In London (Originally "All The Critics Love U In New York" From The 1982 Album "1999")
Take of your clothes, egh, 319!

I don't know, but firstly he never did Let's Go Crazy at any of the aftershows. Don't think he did Raspberry Beret either.

I definitely think Controversy should have been on there though, and Get On The Boat, Anotherloverholenyohead, Beautiful Strange or Empty Room.

Man we need a new STUDIO album... I'm not holding out too much expectations for the 21 nights CD.

Haystack

If the Indigo Nights CD is meant to be a souvenir of the aftershows, then covers should be included as they were a large part of the 21 Nights aftershow experience. And the same goes for having non-Prince vocals on some of the songs.

Prince's aftershows have pretty much always combined original songs with covers and no CD record of them should be without them.

i'm so looking 4ward to this cd.. covers & all! gotta respect his decision to include these - maybe he wishes to pay tribute to these artists?
i don't care!
OMG! i absolutely adore 'whole lotta love'
if anything, i'm more dubious about 'song of the heart'.. confused

Sophianestesia

I'm all for this tracklist, why shouldn't I?

We had lots of Prince's classics in the past years and he's gonna play them as well in the future (wanna bet?) so we're not gonna miss them.

And most of all, this is an aftershow recording, so the songs are a good choice and I also think the renditions are great. All of them.

I don't really care for a new studio album in the next months but please, Prince, come back live soon! I MISS U SO MUCH!!!
