I can easily assume that Prince will meet other people that call him a Poet or a great musician...

Anything else surrounding Hollywood...I refuse to believe...I have come to know...that constant confusions is always swirling amongst the people that can give it to the streets.

Yes, and I think that when people try to put TTd and Prince against each other it's not right.

Not that it matters, but Prince has worn all *sorts* of stuff.

Anyone remember the 45 from Sign of the Times. He's in this Peach outfit with *fierce* legs, dressed to look like Cat.

Damn cover gave me Jamie Foxx disease. I was questioning myself for DAYS! lol

1 - TTD was a well-overrated egotistical dreamer whose 15 minutes ended well back into last century.
2 - The idea of talentless TTD kissing Prince on the lips is more pathetic than gross, but a little disturbing non the less, and thankfully i'm not too pc to admit that 'yuck' did cross my mind.

What ignorance. Homophobia is very politically correct. It's the norm in a society that routinely uses anti-gay humor in many forms. You're not outside the mainstream or cutting edge. Don't be so proud about what crosses your narrow mind.

I had this article back in the day... it's not hard to find on google.

http://www.sanandamaitrey...azine.html

The quote that started this thread is taken directly from that interview.

I find it hard to understand the intense dislike of TTD, I saw him live when he was at his peak and he was a great performer and I think he's pretty talented (I don't know his current work so I can't commment on that).

I find it equally hard to understand why people find the fact that one musician respected another musician so much he kissed him so unpalatable.

I agree. Do people forget that they are on a site dedicated to a man who wears makeup, had a woman/male symbol for a name and has worn skirts, leg warmers, panties and lace gloves. Not keeping in the spirit of Prince. Have people heard Uptown, If I Was Your Girlfriend, Sometimes It Snows in April ...

ok lyrics and a stage persona is different than a lifestyle.Im not homophobic but I think Prince is straight and I think TTD is lying...so what rolleyes
and Prince has never worn a skirt.Youre thinking about the Lovesexy era where he wore black and white tights and it appeared to be a skirt wink
Sinead said Prince hit her so does that make him a wife beater now?
Just b/c TTD is...exscuse me...WAS famous and some of you happen to be fans of his does NOT mean this shit is true.

Why do you assume Prince is straight, out of curiosity? And even if he is, why defend it?

When TTD came out he was compared with both MJ and P. His first album was great and I bought it but his second was total sewage, he tried to be P and failed miserably.

I doubt any kiss took place, not because men kissing each other is something I object to, but honestly - P kissing another man (unless it is in welcome on the cheek to a loved one or firend) is hard to imagine.

Where does he say it in Don't Play Me?

Beliefs you stand for are supposed to be about big, important things like spirituality or politics or values, not whether or not a complete stranger likes pole.

Listened to the song. Given the context, there's nothing to suggest "...and I'm straight" is a reference to sexuality. It can also suggest that he's not doing drugs, that he's serious, that he's sincere -all common usages of the term. It could be that he was indeed referring to his sexual orientation, but I don't think it's likely. Even Prince doesn't randomly throw sex talk into a song that's not about sexuality without context.

You're hilarious. You say your standing up for your beliefs when the beliefs in question are your defense of a complete stranger's sexuality. Believe what you want, but you're the one making a big deal over a small matter.

Im making a deal over a small matter? You took your time to read my opinion and then quote me...all you had to do was say your own opinion and be out the thread so who exactly is making a big deal now?Youre sitting here writing essays about how you think Im wrong for thinking Prince is straight...get out of here with that. And have you listened to the entire song...the entire song IS random thoughts hes had about people's opinion of him and as you can see from this thread...many people think hes gay.You wanna believe hes gay to make yourself feel better...go ahead but just know that that line in that song sounds more likely to that hes talking about sexuality since he says "and I'M straight" and Ive also read some of the threads started by the Uptwon Dames and Robin Power and they think its funny when people try to say Prince is gay and they know him better than I do and Im sure you do as well.

You're cute for assuming and I do take it as a compliment -but I'm not gay or a guy. No one's trying to claim Prince for their team, not me or anyone else. If you choose to go back and actually read what I wrote, I didn't say Prince was gay.

What I did say is that it's stupid to make assumptions.

Well,I think assumptions or opinions based on SOMETHING other than the way he dresses and what a washed up 80's singer has to say is better than hes gay because TTD says so rolleyes

Trust, dear, it's not nothing to do with his clothes. Eddie Izzard does drag regularly, and no one doubts he's straight. As for TTD? The guy never said Prince was gay, either. It's all here in plain text, so I don't know how you're managing to have problems with interpretation.

Would you have felt better if I came on this thread saying how much Prince is so much more likely to be gay than straight?Would that have made you feel better?

WTF are you on about? Who said anything about it being more likely Prince is gay? If you care to read what I wrote here and in the homophobia on the org thread, I actually said it's more likely than not that he's straight. If you're going to argue, I suggest you actually read what your opponent writes before you start typing. Cool it on the knee-jerk reactions long enough to form a coherent argument.
