Are you afraid to meet Prince?

Are any of you afraid to meet Prince cause you're worried that he might be mean to you or disappoint you in some way? Or break your sand dollar or somethin'

I had a dream the other night that I met him. It was not a good experience. He was all cranky and irritated with me. I do have some fear that this is what it would be like in real life.

I'd almost prefer to just pass by him and have him make eye contact & smile rather than us exchanging conversation. I'm sure whatever I would say would come out like verbal diarrhea and I'd make a complete ass out of myself. Just as long as he notices me, I'm

Interact with him twice and both times was really cool...but if you had asked this before then i would have said yes

I have always looked up to Prince in so many ways, if I met him in person i'm afraid it would burst that bubble.

If i met him in person yeah id be a bit nervous...but then depending on his attitude id vibe of that and just be myself it must be annoying to celebrities being around people that act fake towards them and suck up. Before anything hes a human being fuck hollywood if he said something insulting (which he doesnt seem the type to) i would tell him.

Plus I'm taller than he is and I might bust out laughing!

Well 2 things...

First: I'm not looking forward to meeting him (especially not in 2008). He would do something or not do something to tick me off. And I would hate for that negative meeting to change how I listen to his music...if that makes sense.

Second: Prince is known for being very standoffish; like you're more likely to meet his bodyguards fist [face to fist], than meet him. So, I figure...I'd just go for it. I'd run straight to him full speed like a mad man, tell him how much his music has influenced me and molded me into the person I am, how Dirty Mind was played near my baby crib, and how I was the only teenager in High School that liked Prince (mid to late 90's, when it wasn't "cool" to be a Prince fan), and because of that I got bullied just because I was bumpin The Greatest Romance Ever Sold instead of Juvenile...

How he brought out the musician in me, and how he was one of my best teachers. How I supported him and blasted The Rainbow Children, One Nite Alone and ONL Live in my dorm room, despite the lack of "POPularity" at the time.

And when I get up from the ground after Tyrone and Ray Ray knock me down...atleast I can say; I'm one of the few fans of millions who actually got to tell the little man how they feel.

I'd walk away with my black eye, with no complaints.

The interesting thing is...that in a realistic perspective...I would assume...that Prince would not be alone...and therefore, there is a strange uncertainty about focusing on the conversation. I believe that I have always had a business like attitude...however...there is a possibility that Prince would be upset with me for a couple of reasons...and I had better be quiet until the ice was broken. I could always explain later...I'm not as good as Prince is, at telepathically whirling out...much more than a hi.

I never thought about this until threads like this come along... about 3yrs ago I would have been a spaz and hyper and all and terrify the poor man. Now it's the complete oposite, I'm not sure what I'd say. If you really respect someone saying nothing goes a long way when the person is nagged by everyone.
On another note JW's don't believe in idolizing. I figure his point is if you make someone bigger than life that you are going to be disapointed when you meet them.....you don't have to idolize someone to have them let you down.

That little extra bit of light and warmth that fills you up. When you're cold and chilly and don't want to wake up.

I wouldn't want to meet him in a social setting cause I'd be terribly shy nervous and awkward. I'd love to jam with him on me sax though that would be cool.
