I was thinking about this last night.. What if Prince allowed people to post videos of him on youtube? How chaotic would that be? Imagine all the crazy videos that would be viewed by millions. All the crazy tv appearances during the 90s specially during the gold era. People seem to forget all the weird things he's done in the past. Most of us here have seen the moments and are used to them.. But a lot of average fans would be shocked by some videos lol. I understand why Prince wants to keep control of his material in that sense. And he can't allow a single video posted or else the spreading will become out of control. Prince KNOWS what he's doing. People need to think outside of the box sometimes. And im glad he dosen't allow the cheap ass concert bootlegs from being viewed because people form jugements off a concert footage filmed by a cellphone in the nosebleed section.

Prince is setting up for his future. It is business savvy. You pull everything now and get them in a set for later and then sell in. We all know it won't be difficult getting sails for his stuff and then he doesn't have to worry about retirement. It's difficult on us now, but a brilliant scheme for him later "......I gotta' lotta' butta' 2 go"

I would be a miracle and it would be a beautiful miracle. The only thing that should be regulated with Prince on youtube would be bootleg material, no matter how great it is. Official stuff should be out in the open for all to see, no matter how clean or dirty the video footage is. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

It would make him no different to any other performer in the public domain, and I would think the only people searching for obscure video clips from his commercial lull would be fans, not casual listeners.

Prince cannot erase his past no matter how hard he tries. If youtube doesn't have them another video site will, trust me I've seen them, and saved them to my computer, he can't get that!

no he can't and he shouldn't either. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Yeah it sure would be TRAGIC if people could watch Prince perform back when he was actually INNOVATIVE. Much better to charge them out the ass for festival tickets or a book release party and play "Let's Go Crazy" and "1999."
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
