"Purple Rain" (movie) Question

Why does Apollonia say "King Kong" in this scene? Never understood that.

Sorry, I just came on board less than a month ago.

I thought it might have something to do with a 'hairy chest,' but even so that's rather
retarded and random. What's even more disturbing is Prince's nelly "stahhhp!" reaction
after she touches him. disbelief So manly!

I thought it was because they filmed that scene in a temporary studio on top of the Empire State Building.

If in doubt, lob it out!

Back to the topic wink

The film is poorly edited. Did you notice the scene where they met for the 2nd time in front of the pawn shop?

When he said "You're lying, I can tell by your reaction you're lying. blahblahblah its not yours anymore" whofarted

Come to think of it, I think this is another episode of A Star Is Born, when they chopped off Judy Garland's movie to no end,,,they had to re-vamp the deleted scenes back in 1982 to make the movie MORE sensible.

Thr PR special edition DVD should've included those damn deleted scenes:

The Jellybean fight.

The farm scene drool

The Morris Day in Frances L.'s house scene.

The "Wednesday" Jill Jones scene.

And I'm sure there're more hmmm

See in the upper right portion of this screen capture, in the purple area, where it says "Google custom search"? That's the one that works.

Well...she didn't really say anything. He said "who gave it to you?" She says "a person" then he says "male or female" she just says "huh?" and then he says "you're lying"
I always thought that didn't make sense, too. Lying about what, she said "huh?"

When she says "Huh?" she's stalling for time. If someone really had given her the ankle bracelet, she would have been able to answer the question right away. The Kid is saying that, because of that reaction, he can tell that she's lying about someone giving it to her. It all makes sense.

There's a shot clip in the trailer where Morris is grapping Apple by the hand and running with her from theKid's house.
