"Purple Rain" (movie) Question Why does Apollonia say "King Kong" in this scene? Never understood that.

Sorry, I just came on board less than a month ago. I thought it might have something to do with a 'hairy chest,' but even so that's rather retarded and random. What's even more disturbing is Prince's nelly "stahhhp!" reaction after she touches him.

I thought it was because they filmed that scene in a temporary studio on top of the Empire State Building. If in doubt, lob it out!

The film is poorly edited. Did you notice the scene where they met for the 2nd time in front of the pawn shop? When he said "You're lying, I can tell by your reaction you're lying. blahblahblah its not yours anymore" What's wrong with that scene? I always thought it made sense. "You do not belong to you. You belong to Universe."

I always thought she said "King Dong", obviously complimenting the man on his organ.

Well...she didn't really say anything. He said "who gave it to you?" She says "a person" then he says "male or female" she just says "huh?" and then he says "you're lying" I always thought that didn't make sense, too. Lying about what, she said "huh?"

Because she's like "What the shit? You're the girliest man I've ever seen yet here you are with a chest that'd make a giant monkey feel insecure!"

When she says "Huh?" she's stalling for time. If someone really had given her the ankle bracelet, she would have been able to answer the question right away. The Kid is saying that, because of that reaction, he can tell that she's lying about someone giving it to her. It all makes sense. "You do not belong to you. You belong to Universe."

Thr PR special edition DVD should've included those damn deleted scenes: The Jellybean fight. The farm scene The Morris Day in Frances L.'s house scene. The "Wednesday" Jill Jones scene. And I'm sure there're more Elaborate on the Morris thing? Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together
