I should add that "When I Lay My Hands On U" is one of my fav Prince songs EVER. Every time I hear it, I'm blown away by how brilliant and powerfully dynamic this song is.

It is a real tragedy that this song didn't appear on any release.

I always thought the lyrics were

"Nobody knows, like I knows
Where the deepest part of your river flows" rather than God.

and

"until I reach the capstone" rather than cat's nose.

It's off of "The Chocolate Invasion". The songs came out indivdually on NPGMC in 2001 but it was released as an album, again through NPGMC, in 2004.

Oh and this song kicks MAJOR ass! I'm with Giovanni777, this should have had a proper release on a major-label CD.

Really dig this song. The guitar solo sound reminds me of Carlos Santana.

This is one of his better songs in recent years. It's good fun & musically interesting.

First of all it is "like I know" and not "like God knows" second of all it's definitely Europa and not Robot in the hands of Santana, Europa is a classic Santana song where he plays very sensually....And most importantly..... it's Capstone (i.e. clitoris) not Cat's nose, my goodness.
