i do have one Usher CD.. that 'Confessions' .. cause brother has 2 songs on that CD that's happenin'....
'Truth Hurts' and 'Simple Things' - both songs by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis .. every lyric of that song 'Simple Things' .. is a girl's anthem.. Usher was talkin' in that song... guys need to hear that 
and 'Truth Hurts' - he was able to be a realist and tell the truth about himself | |

I see the piano similarity to The Beautiful Ones, but it sounds nothing like IIWYG ... and IMO the subject matter is really not the same either.
IIWYG is about Prince comparing himself to his woman's best female friend, and the additional personal intimacy that close girlfriends have. Usher's song is more about role reversal ... as in the woman taking control, and the man being submissive. |
