The Dance (Screaming Part) lol

Just something that came to my attention.


The Dance... I always thought it was a pretty good song, a nice little ballad. But towards the end when he starts the screaming and carrying on. Like "Baby, baby ,baby. It's just not fair!" An imatation of The Beautiful Ones or something. So I was like "What is this 1984?" lol. I started to turn up my nose and scringe, cuz it didin't sound to good. I just thought it was funny, thinking why did he do that in a laughing way.

I think I'll go listen to The Beautiful Ones.

Well, maybe he was just really 'feeling' it? I love The Dance....

I totally get TBO vibe with that song. I really think it quite lovely. I also think he's shouting "that's Lisa" with the piano part and it does sound like her.

Man, I was feeling that scream on The Dance. I didn't feel like he was trying to go back in time with that at all. That's part of why I love 3121 the way that I do, cause that was classic Prince right there. In fact, I miss hearing Prince scream like that. That's the scream of lust right there! We need more of that Prince!

When I first heard the ending, the screaming, I got scared.
I thought he was freaked out mad like, "Hate you".
I almost fell out of my seat.

I love how Prince has such controlled screams. I'd NEVER be able to win an argument with him.

I need to listen t this track again, I don't really remember the end of it...just the start and middle.
Strange I forgot the craziest part...I just remember 'faiyuh'

horrible. overdone. totally insane.

that's all i can say about it. i think this is the first time in
his recording carreer he's put a song he already released on one
of his albums on another new album.

i don't count "when 2 r in love" cuz at the time tba was pulled
from release.

the first version that ended up on "the chocolate invasion" is a
very beautiful song indeed. one of my fav npgmc songs in fact.

this new version is just horrible. it makes him sound like a bad
parody of his former self.

He had to be upset in that recording booth...Mani or whoever he wrote it 4 must have pissed him off that he just had to kill that song (in a good way) in order to alleviate the pain surging through his body. The original version of that song is so much weaker in vocals..and with lyrics like that..u need strong vocals..and he certainly accomplished that! love that song!

OMG, I have always said the same thing about Prince screaming in this song. Great minds are thinking alike. For some reason, I find it funny when Prince starts screaming. It cracks me up (yeah, I know, I have a weird sense of humor).

I love this song.

Does anyone know if he has performed it live, including the ending? Always thought it would be awesome to see him tear this one up. I know they have played instrumental snippets, but I mean the whole ball of wax.
