It's not a bootleg (but it sure looks like one!) but it is old and obviously the project for the NPGMC never went much further. Read the thread on HQ, there isn't much detail, but it confirms it was officially commissioned.

Given the time period it dates from, the NPGMC, it's possible it's just a cover idea for a renamed 'Roadhouse Garden'?

All I can say is wow. Yet another project that got shelved. It's still cool to know all of this info.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

just repeating "bootleg" doesn't make it true you know.

It's an album cover design officially commissioned by Prince, for a project
that was never finished or released. It was designed by Steffan Bieker who
also designed the Crystal Ball online booklet.

This sort of thing isn't unusual either. You'd be surprised how much unused
artwork there is for various Prince projects that were either shelved or had
alternate artwork made.

Well, that's some cheesy-ass artwork right there. Only Prince would use artwork that tacky.
