Ive just about had it with prince...

So, a few weeks ago i see hes playing coachella, and i notice theres a video strem of it!! i think "brilliant, ill be able to watch him from my own home!!!"

then today, i see he isnt allowing hes performance to be streamed.

wtf??

what is wrong with him??

he could do so much, put so much more effort in to pleasing hes fans. imaging a website with footage from concerts on it??? imaging typing prince on youtube and seeing prince videos on it??

why does he do it?? why does he turn round and say "no, you cannot show my coachella set" whats hes reason i wonder??

so ive come to a conclusion: he finds it funny to upset hes fans, and im 1000% sure he has friends of hes to check out the fans reactions on websites like this.

well its worked, hes annoyed me.

prince today isnt the same person who made "For You" 30 years ago. the prince of today is corupt with money. thats all he cares about.

hes charging $4.5 million to play coachella! and he isnt even letting us see it.

so in that case, youd think he has something planned. like a dvd of it or any dvd, eg hes 1st in 5 years!! but no. nothing.

with all the money and power he has youd think hed release a dvd of either a 2004 show, a vegas show or a 2007 show.

no.

like it would be difficult for him. in england it would be an instant sell out after the success of hes o2 shows, even if it wasnt a success it wouldnt matter as hes ultra rich.

so why not???

becuase he fins it funny to leave his fans wanting and waiting for somethhing interesting.

he releases album after album that arnt that good becuase he knows he doesent has to bother making them exellent. the fans buy anything he releases. which = more money

why should i go to croke park this summer to watch him??? pehaps i shouldnt...

Idolatry. that's his problem and he's taking it to the extreme.

Nobody (sane) worships you Prince, don't worry about it. that would be my advice to him.

Does Prince communicate with you, telepathically? If so, what does he tell you? What bath & bodyworks items to use? What to eat/drink?

I agree with Mentalist.

Sure if it were up to me I'd love to have a pristine DVD copy of every concert he does - but I've come to the realisation that in the end, it's his choice on how he wants to run things. So just chill and go with the flow I say.

My feelings is that he has every right to do what he wants....it is HIS work afterall.....still bloody annoying tho

Ever since the Internet became mainstream, people seem to think that everything should be free. In the days before the net would we have been ranting about our favorite artists because they didn't let the entire world see their performances for free? It wouldn't have happened on any level!
People who go to a show have to pay for it. People who watch boxing matches on premium cable have to pay good money for those events too.. why should a headliner at a big event put the whole thing out there for free, when someone would probably save the files and pirate them anyway?
Prince is smart. Have some of us forgotten why we got into his music in the first place? It's because he does things as he feels led to do and not riding the bandwagon of culture du jour. An artist of his ilk is FAR more exciting than one who bows to what the world thinks they should do. LEST WE FORGET.

Yep, and I have to agree with you guys too.

It's his right to choose to do what he wants to do
respecting his career and music, it's his life and work.

Prince is Prince - he works in mysterious ways You've got to accept the way he is, even if you don't always like it/agree with it! He's always done things differently, and in a way I agree with one of the posts above - although I'd LOVE to see Coachella free on the web - why should we get it for free? Why should we just expect to see a performer of his calibre live for nothing?

Being a Prince fan is not always easy, but there are always greater rewards in the end..... hang on in there, Dublin will be your reward (especially if you manage to get to an aftershow too!)

I can understand how u feel but maybe Prince knows better than us whats best for himself personally and in the business. Maybe he has been through some experiences that led him to do these things and it may not be spite but for love of himself and his career that he does this. I believe he knows that when you are too exposed to an artist its more likely that you will become tired of them and maybe you would call that played out. when you expose yopurself in that way you are opening yourself up to major criticisms.I will keep respecting Prince for what he does and how he does it.
