Prince shows up at LA tribute and DJ spins new Prince tune Found on DrFunkenberry.com this morning:
Club Goa in Hollywood last night was having a tribute to Prince night. All Prince Music all night long spun by DJ EQue and Prince’s own D.J., DJ Rashida. The tunes were off the chain. We can’t remember the last time L.A. did something like this. Sometime after 1 A.M, Prince showed up! He was in the V.I.P. booth chilling. While we kept the dance floor hot as we all continued to shake, we were treated to an unreleased song called “Prince & The Band”. Man, that track is kicking. We left the club with smiles. Can’t wait til Jay Leno next Friday night to see Prince again as the Dr. hipped you all to first yesterday.-Nurse Knotty Courtesy of DrFunkenberry.com Wonder if the lyrics were changed to reflect the new band members?

^From what I see, it's an entertainment website. They seem to be getting hooked up and I say good. As long as I hear something about Prince from someone, I'm all good. Good to see Prince is all over the place. I want to hear Prince and the Band, the studio version that is! I wish I was back in L.A. [Edited 4/16/08 8:18am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I recall an Orger mentioning that he played a snippet of the song 'Prince and the Band' at the O2 and how excited she was to hear it live...
Would be nice if he WAS releasing some of the back catalogue at long last. [Edited 4/16/08 8:38am] One minute they want peace……
Then do everything to make it go away.

and that version he did at the celebration was KICK ass!!! no matter how many times he did it at the O2, it never reached that level again man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Then this footage of Prince on TMZ.com today correlates with what took place outside the club.
Posted Apr 16th 2008 9:08AM by TMZ Staff Getting a shot of Prince's face is as elusive as a smiling Jessica Alba -- or at least it was, until last night at the Green Door in L.A. Even Jeremy Piven was shocked. Watch TMZ on your local FOX channel Wednesday night!

see, now there's a thing. Whilst I whinge about the 'new track', one look at this brief clip knocks me sideways with that cool attitude, pout and pimp walk! Reminds me of his entrance to the Baguleys aftershow many moons ago. Once a pimp always a pimp!. Now if he could just make music to match the look and attitude then we're back in business!.

Wow, he looks great! What's he got in his hand as he goes into the club? [Edited 4/16/08 12:38pm]

Could that silver object be hooked to a key ring? Looks like our man knows how to keep his distance if need be. And is that a wedding band that he has on his left hand? Maybe he was all satisfied, then went out to hear some jamming beats

He/she sure writes the reports just like they did on 3121.com and NPGMC.

Once a pimp. . . [Edited 4/16/08 17:51pm]

[Edited 4/16/08 17:51pm] he's holding some long silver straw looking thing with an "O" shape at one end. you see it when he makes it to the doorway and put his hand on the wall. is it a wand to blow bubbles? I have no idea what exactly that is he's holding, but he needs to always hold something, hence the excessive collar touching. he needs some good hands instead.
