I know this is probably gonna sound stupid but do any of you have any little prince rituals? For example, if I have a really important meeting I hide my Prince symbol pin somewhere for that extra boost of confidence & of course I always wear the perfume! Does this make me weird or devoted??

do you know where i can find a charm so i can put it on the necklace that i would buy if i had his symbol?

I've always got mine from the gigs so i'm not sure where you could buy them from

Yeah, I put on my 3121 perfume for luck, and the purple bracelet I wore to the O2. Oh, good idea, I'll do that tomorrow morning at 8am

I always leave Prince on my player, so when I get home from work all I have to do is hit PLAY and the party's on!

I do some creative visualization involving Prince. If I am feeling sad, I visualize something sexy Prince did (twirling his peachy booty in the world famous yellow ass-less pant) and if I am feeling anxious, I focus on that warm sweet serenity in those lovely eyes of his.

My life is basically a Prince ritual.

Wouldn't call it a ritual so much as getting my daily fix.

Usually around the same time every night, about 10 or so... I pop in an album with my headphones, just chill with it in my bedroom... then afterwards, whatever thoughts come to mind, I write them down.
And what I write usually ends up in discussion or on my blog.

Lately, over the last 8 or 9 years, I've had this ritual where I buy his new album, listen once & forget it, wishing it came close to matching his best work.

Every time a new Prince album is released, I buy it on the first day of it's release. Then I go home, listen to it a few times, and call up a good friend of mine that I have known since 1978 and he first got into Prince in 1979 just like I did. He buys all the albums on the day of their release also. We usually discuss what we thought of it, whether it was good or bad.

We've done this since we graduated high school in 1985 and we have usually had the same opinion on the new album every year. I remember in 1985 on up until around 1990, after each purchase, we were both pissed because "Old Prince" (Prince before ATWIAD) had not returned (while everyone else was telling us to drop Prince because Prince had lost his damn mind and Old Prince was never returning). By 1990, we both realized around the same time that Old Prince was gone so we stopped looking for his return, although it is very fun to bitch about him never returning, which we both like to do.

I don't know how many more years we'll have that ritual together because in the last few years, he has not liked any of the entire albums where I do have particular tracks that I like and dislike. I think he's finally reaching the end of his rope with Prince.

No rituals! i just LOVE Prince nonstop

First of all...I've been coming here. This has been a posting ritual...and then if that's not bad enough...once in awhile...I wear the symbol...whenever inspired to ...always to concerts, if I am fortunate enough to attend one....and then...I have a couple of pictures...that I leave as my dresser drawer liners...such as a cardboard advertisement for Purple Rain...and I have a habit of making clay guitarz with Prince in mind..I have even made a few cloud gitarz...that are baked and glazed and somewhat phallic, but very nice...I have given many away as presents as well as sold a few.

Although I have a sentimental ritual as of 2005...I spend Christmas eve and New Years' eve alone...and with Prince music.

I am a 2nd grade teacher, and i have a pic of Prince playing the guitar on my white board in the front of my classroom. Through out the day I ask Prince, out loud, if he thinks my kids are being good, or just random questions, and my students just love it. They think I'm crazy, but they have started to ask him questions. It makes our day fun
