I forget sometimes... this is one of those things that can ruin my week (or at least the first couple of days).

Someone already spoiled the win 4 me... and then they just come right out and say that he won.
I mean, c'mon. Couldn't they have gone around, showing people in their seats and have him come up? rolleyes
And my TV signal sux cuz I could barely hear a word he said...

People hype too much around here and got my hopes up for no reason disbelief

BUT The Time was good... I guess Morris was following Prince's lead by wearing sunglasses to cover up his aging eyes... not as much as he used to, but its cool to know that he can still move nod
Rihanna kinda just did her own thing. The two didn't really mesh too well together. But after the song ended, Morris did the "what time is it?" pose to Rihanna, which I found hilarious giggle

The Time did very well nod

hmmm well, they got Prince out of the way really early... well, if he's gonna perform at all, they might sneak him in for last shrug never hurts to hope, I guess.

The thing with Prince @ award shows that ticks me off... it just ends way too fast for me falloff he's there and then he's gone after a minute.
Almost like "hey, did u see a Prince come thru here?"
"Yeah, u just missed him." :shr
ug:

wink That's our Prince!

I wish I knew if there were gonna be more Prince sightings because I am tired of watching this crappy show...the performances have been awful (although Alicia was good--I think duets with dead people are kinda cheesy). sigh

"C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -
"London do you feel for me what I feel for you"- yes Prince -
"Can I play my guitar now?" - yes please

So the Grammys approach Prince...we want to do a tribute to the Beattles and we want you to do a solo. Prince says let me think about it. He then insists that the Time be allowed to perform. Otherwise why is the Time pairing with Rhiana? Do Jam and Lewis produce her....it was a little odd

In anycase good seeing the fellas
[Edited 2/10/08 17:29pm]

Did you make this whole scenario up? And isn't obvious that the reason the Time is on the show is because Jimmy Jam is the chairman of the Recording Academy which governs the Grammys. He said it when he was introducing the Time. doh! sigh

Through the magic of technology! nod (Are you somewhere you haven't seen the show? Basically, they had a film of Frank Sinatra projected and then Alicia Keys playing piano and singing "with" him...)

This is the longest he has kept a certain look. THANK GOODNESS ... If you take a picture from 2003 - 2008 you would have a hard time matching the photo with the year. Back in the day... I could match (we all could) any photo with the correct year...by hair, outfit, color, style ... etc.

I'm curious as to why e'ryone is trippin' over Prince ONLY having 7 Grammys. Since when have the Grammys been a measure of true talent or an arbiter of good music? Cuz if you don't believe that P getting recent Grammys for stuff like FBM ain't nuthin but a consolation Grammy for awards he REALLY shoulda won, you might be a lil deluded. Like Al Pacino getting an Oscar for Scent of a Woman. Puhleaze!

The Grammys ain't nuthin but another marketing tool to try and sell more albums. IMO, the only Grammys that are really given based on musical talent and merit are the ones for categories that don't really sell or aren't as high profile, like Jazz, Gospel, and Classical.

Beyonce has something like 8 or 9 Grammys...they just throw those things away...and I think Beyonce is very very talented (can't help but notice teh haters on this forum) so my comment has more to do with the fact they just give them to anyone these days. Not her in particular.

The fact that the song from Happy Feet was nominated and FBM won should let you know that tha academy is just making up for completely dissing him in the 80s

Song of the Heart is so embarassing bad its not even funny

Wow I thought that was just a sketch...ok I feel totally ridiculous. He probably was instrumental in getting Prince on the show in 2004 w/Beyonce

I believe he was also shut out from 5 awards for the 3121 album.

as far as Happy Feet, I wouldn't blast it out my car window, but in the context of an animated kids movie, it fits.
