The MJ, Prince connection that actually makes sense.

We always see these theories here about how simular Prince and Michael are but beyond music and actions they don't get to a main theme that has been lost: Both artists became stars, never having to do any honest work their wholes lives. Neither Prince or MJ have ever worked at a fast food place or swept a floor or understood the plight of the working class; they have been given everything on a silver platter and have never been told no. They are insulated from the real world, one of the main reasons why they do and say the things they do.

Could you imagine Prince cleaning his own house? lol

He makes others do what he would never do himself. Both guys need to get dirty, that's my call. Solidarity with the working class will make them better people and less weirdos.

Saying that Prince or Michael have not done any work is ridiculous, They both have worked hard on their careers.

This is just your theory and it's a theory about rich people shared by lots of non-rich people.

However, why should working hard at music be considered any less "hard work" then working hard at waiting tables, plumbing or accounting?

I know a few EXTREMELY hard-working guys that work at a restaurant where I live. They are from Mexico and they send half of their paychecks to their families in Mexico. I have always said that if instead of working so hard in the restaurant business, they should work equally as hard being a musician or actor. They could be famous in 24-hours with that work ethic.

I think Prince has worked really hard practically his whole entire life, making music, putting shows together, videos etc. is not really glamorous at all behind the scenes, it's a hard slog. Everyone has said that he has an amazing work ethic, going into the studio EVERY day at 10am unheard of for most musicians, and leaving well after everyone else.

On the other hand, the fact that he misses being able to go out, go to the supermarket etc... well, I'd give him 2 trips to my local supermarket and I bet he won't be missing it again lol

Prince is willing to do The Work. Get it? ...'cause it's from one of his songs ...I kinda made a little play on that and the fact that this discussion is about work and stuff...

I'll be here all week.

I'm not too sure about Prince never knowing the plight of the poor or working class. I don't recall The Prince Rogers Nelson Trio ever having any platninum albums or number 1 singles. Being the child of struggling musicians must've been hard for Prince & his family.

I'm sure his father's failures as a musician pushed him to succeed. He didn't wanna struggle his entire life like John L. did.

Just because you aren't digging around in toilets or flipping synthetic snack products at McD's doesn't mean you aren't doing honest work.
And I dont anything was given to them on a silver platter.

Ah, connect with the common fan, hm? Well, I'd agree, except neither of them are running for presidency so it would be pointless. Besides, I don't think we should suggest they go around kissing babies...because old wacko would just dangle them over balconies.

I have no idea about MJ, but your assumptions about P are without doubt the most stupid and ignorant I have ever seen posted here. I say this, not becoz I am a P fan, but coz you obviously have no idea what you are talking/posting about.

BTW you can clean my tiolet, any time you want wink

Ignorance is bliss. What is so DISHONEST about making music? Music industry isn't easy. Look at TLC and toni braxton. these people were screwed in the ass by the management both had to file bankrupt for losing money. they have tried to make comebacks, but where are they now? prince is still here. and people want to complain about why he is so protective of his music. and why he doesn't want people stealing from him he knows it is what is ruining the business now record sales in general are at an all time low WHY? from people stealing!!!!! and how do you know he hasn't worked before becoming a star? you must be his close friend or something? you got his phone number? he had to work his way up to be where he is today pissed
