2012 single

There was a long wait. The 21st century was coming and Prince made a song about it. It was called 1999. His 1999 was about bombs bursting and world annhialation.

Well... nothing happened in 1999 but there is supposedly something going to happen in 2012. That's the year experts say The World will ENd or a comet will hit the other. With 1999 no longer in service it would only be appropriate for Prince to make a 2012 one. Since he is the expert on Dooms Day and we need a new cataclysim song.

what about ths song - "2020"?

I haven't been listening to this in a long time, but I assume it's about the year 2020?

The 2012 thing comes from the Mayan calendar, any expert in that wouldn't not say it has anything to do with the end of the World!

I never believed that 1999 was about world destruction...I believed it to be, a change in the perspective of the world. The end of the world as we know it. The world comes down to lies. And when these lies come to light, we will all take notice in the twinkling of an eye.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Apparenty on 21st December 2012 the only thing that is due to happen is a rare alignment of the winter solstice sun and the Milky Way - it will apparently form a cosmic cross in the sky, which the Mayan civilisation believed would be incredibly auspicious. The alignment hasn't occurred in 26,000 years.

I'm sure that Prince could make a rather nice track about that

Since "nothing happened in 1999" I would hardly consider Prince an expert on doomsday

I heard Prince wa supposed to be reworking 1999 for 1999. Seems it never happened.

yeah, that's what the pessimists say. I believe there will be a global transformation in consciousness. It's already happening but dec 21 2012 will mark the end of the process (and the start of a 4-dimension world).
