The Purple Doves Interviews

Has anyone seen this dvd yet? I thought it was REALLY interesting!

I thought the Oprah interview was really moving, he seemed so vulnerable and was quite revealing in this. In other interviews with Sinbad and Jay Leno? he shows his funny, humorous, outgoing side, and then in others, the serious Prince. He's certainly seems to be pretty consistent with his answers through the years, (contrary to what you might expect - LOL) especially with regard to the music industry / name change etc.

What did you all think? biggrin

Hi - I have it and found it very informative and entertaining, though when flicking through it on Sunday with my brother, he told me that the Oprah interview allegedly took place something like 12 days after the death of his son which makes it a bit odd really.

I also observed that all/any interviews he did with Mayte at the time he looked to be bang in love with her.

I got mine from play.com. I liked it, a lot of stuff I'd never seen before. The interview in France (I think..?) during the UTCM-era was a bit strange but I like watching different sides of his personality. My favourite was the Oprah interview, I found the tour of his house very interesting (but the tour of the nursery made me feel sad). I liked that he took Mayte everywhere with him, as though they were inseperable smile

Sounds like a real man to me...mind if I turn on the radio?

lottielooloo19 68	the oprah interview was strange as u would never believe p & mat were having stress in their lives. but it is obvious those 2 were out of their brains in love. i think p is such a hopeless romantic...

Yes, I think that's what makes it so touching. You can see at the beginning when he says to Oprah, yes PP was all white but we had it coloured up for..... (they had it redecorated for the baby), also the playroom.... made me cry sad

Mayte said afterwards that they were both in denial, and she persuaded him to go ahead with the interview. Sad, but I thought he was quite revealing in that interview, about the height issue and everything!
