No, just very, very famous and highly sensitive to criticism due to an extreme nihlist confidence in his - as he sees it - God given talents and looks. But I certainly don't think he's mad at all, however you define that word. His religious beliefs are ludicrous to me, as my own beliefs would be to him. However, he no doubt views criticism of his art (that being not only his music, but image and lifesyle) as the perpetrator wiping their arse with God's beard.

I think anyone, who is as successful, needs bodyguards, security, etc tends to isolate themselves and be out of touch. Plus, having a bunch of "yes' people around doesn't help.

Not raving mad. Consider it like this, other artists probably got a bit bench out of shape about their image/music being used in a way they weren't cool with pre-internet age. Only difference is that with the Internet anyone and everyone can access the story day or night 24/7. So the unfolding events spreads faster to more people. He's not the first one to be...uhm...not happy with "people" (I say this knowing this conversation is recorded..LOL) And he won't be the last.
