Prince Plays With S.Wonder at MSG Totally brought down the house tonight. Stevie says "I understand Prince is in the audience tonight" and he totally brought it. He looked great, but who wouldn't performing with the master. Loved his slicked back hair. Only disappointed he didn't stay longer and perform "So What The Fuss" as well. F*ckin' amazin though. That is cool. I was hoping Prince would be at the Stevie concert in Pittsburgh. That must have been great to see such a surprise.

Just "Superstition". I was screaming for "So What The Fuss" though, but it was almost time for him to go. "Who says you serve the god you serve and we got Jews, and Christians, and Muslims and Hindus fighting each other, as if they have no respect for the Gods they serve" -Stevie Wonder

I wanted to go see Stevie but it seemed like it had sold out quickly. I had this feeling that Prince could be there but I forgot that until I read this. I wish I could have gone. Prince or no Prince, the show sounded like it was the bomb. It's time for new direction, it's time for jazz 2 die

Didn't they just announce a UK leg of his tour? Check Music: Non-Fam forum. Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. |

Did he play keys? Guitar? "Three cavemen see a stranger running towards them with a spear, one fights, one flees, one smiles and invites him over for fondue. The last guy didn't live long enough to procreate."

He did an interview 2 years ago saying he was going to do a world tour. Nadda, nothing. US only as it's always been. [Edited 11/18/07 9:22am]

from 3121.com - Stevie Wonder called his friend Prince on2 the stage at Madison Square Garden 4 a stinging version of “Superstition.” At one point there were 3 guitars as well as the Wonderman playing his syncopated hookline. That song rivals “Thank U…” by Sly 4 being the funkiest song ever. Prince is in town visiting the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society World Headquarters in New York. Dapper as ever in a knee-length black coat with matching pants, patent leather kicks, a white ruffled shirt and his hair slicked back, he looked like Christopher Tracy raided the Kid’s closet. A visibly moved Stevie stopped singin’ briefly during the very next number - “As.” The recent passing of his beloved mother crossed his mind, perhaps. The whole concert was just non-stop hits with brief interludes 4 Stevie’s hilarious story-telling. An elegant bandleader as well as a gentleman - Mr. Wonder… U r indeed. We all love U madly!

Prince opened the August 18th aftershow at the IndigO2 with "Superstition", playing that mind blowing intro on the keyboard, only 2 meters away from me.

I still have goosebumps just thinking about it. YES. My first Prince aftershow and he does that first. I was bowled over with happiness.
