Next leg of tour: Who should open?

Should Prince decide to use an opening act for show dates which artists do you think should open?

Although I dont think an opening act is needed hypothetically speaking.....

Here are my picks in order:

Definites:
1. M.I.A.
2. Alicia Keys
3. Common
4. Amy Winehouse

5. None of the newer artists are this worthy)

What are your picks?

I don't know who I would choose, if everyone was available...It would depend on the kind of show.

First, I don't think he needs anyone to open.
But if he chose someone, only The Time seems right for some reason.
Maybe Mint Condition?
All depends on what he's trying to accomplish.

Was there an opening act in London?
Whatever, I'm sure he'd make it work.

Van Hunt or Nikka Costa esp since both will be having new albums out early next year.

If he ever comes to Chicago again and Nikka opens... I'ld be in musical extacy.

Maybes:
4. Black Eyed Peas
5. Timbaland without his "entourage" (not a great performer but the musicality is there)

6. No one else is this worthy in my opinion

What are your picks?

None of these are worth it in my opinion, I'd at least like to see him with an act that's been in the business and established 2 hours worth of songs that don't belong to someone else.

The Kaiser Chiefs - perhaps they'd inspire Prince to make some rocking dance music?

The Pipettes - perhaps they'd inspire me to grow a woody?

I've heard it said that their acoustic rendition of "Copyright Law: Section 512 z Pub. L. No. 105-304, 112 Stat. 2860, 2877" is incredible!

When I was in London there was no opening act and that's fine by me. On the next leg I would like Wendy & Lisa to be there biggrin

Nikka Costa opened for at least the first night of the stint.
