the perfect solution to pfu

the perfection solution for the pfu situation is to have a representative from the prince camp to be a moderator or "overseer"to see what goes in/out of these websites..if for some reason this suggestion works all parties will be satisfied and prince could go back and do what he does best ...music

How is that a perfect solution? Why should a Prince representative "oversee" what is being said about Prince on "unofficial fan sites?" Prince does not own this site or have any control over what is said. He can do that on his own, official site. Your solution is the very definition of censorship.

Outstanding idea ! At last, some one with a decent, constructive idea.

Who would you suggest?

Um, NO.
Unless Prince OWNS the site, he should have NO say so in what goes on with them.

An overseer? Y'all are too cute! Just famming all out and stuff for ol' Prince. I remember the lengths I'd have gone to to protect him, too. So cute...but let me ask you this...

Is he going to have an overseer on every site on the internet, too? I mean, you guys are aware that no one has to just come to a Prince fan site to talk about Prince, right?

For Prince's people to be saying that these sites are "phoney" and trying to pass themselves off as representatives of his "millions" ohgoon of fans, I'm beginning to think that's what might really be behind this foolishness.

They have to know these aren't the only places on the internet where his work can be discussed or anything else for that matter. Though it seems like he's only after the most visible and/or popular to me.

Youtube, TPB, Prince.org, Housequake.com, Princefams.com

Is all of this foolishness just because someone's jealous?

Yes, he was one of the first mainstream celebrities to embrace the internet but none of his websites ever really did take off, did they? hmmm

No one sees the irony in Prince going from slave to overseer? lol
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

ROFL. clarifying...prince wouldn't be the one moderating. but, nah, i think i will pass on that one. however, in retrospect, whoever would ultimately have that job would be one busy mofo constantly deleting threads lol

Yes, lets have Kathy Adams or Sam Jennings deciding what posts are "ok" and which are "not." Prince can make his own official forums and have his own moderators work on those sites. This is an "unofficial" site.

Hell to the naw! The only posts that would make it to the sites would be the ass kissing posts. Any posts that showed even the smallest amount of criticism would never be seen.

Absurd idea. Sorry. Just plain absurd. You're advocating censorship as a perfect solution?

Wow, that's no surprise. This is exactly what I DON'T want. I can't believe the audacity he has to offer that crap, no one here wants it.
