Atleast now I know that the actions against these fan sites were his idea, given his response to this situation in the PFUnk lyrics...yep, further confirmation of what we collectively need to do.

Prince is at fault 4 the harsh approach he's taken.
The PFU is at fault because they're twisting the whole thing so it sounds like Prince is the devil himself.

I came here 4 Prince.
Not only will I drop by [3x now today] when I feel my thoughts are needed because some people encourage it of me.
To them, they have value, either they are agree or not...
But I mainly come here to support Prince. Whether he has a 100 supporters or 10, when the dust clears, I want to be one of the few still standing.

So what if I picked one of the "crazy ones" to support? It's ultimately the music I come to him 4. The music hasn't spotted even after this started.

To acknowledge his new song, brilliantly original. Different musical sound and Camille resurfaces for the first time since the 80's (correct me if I'm wrong). He's one of the few artists who can write a song and finish it that quick. He pulled off another "When Doves Cry"-conceived song. Not only do I love the song, but wow... I didn't know he could still create a song, cut & dry that quickly. As if on demand. Props 2 u, Prince.

for a while now, i have been observing Prince get dissed left/right/centre, not only here, but at housequake as well. i have been asking myself, if people hate prince so much, why not totally dis-associate themselves from any site related to him, his music and anything he does. but instead, these forums have become places where the above category of individuals get their thang on.

in now way am i suggesting that critisism of Prince is wrong, it's just that you're either a fan or not, a supporter or not. the way i see it, Prince.org is also becoming a haven for Prince haters...and I have also been here since before 2000 (in different names).

i can understand why Prince also got pissed. the man played 21 shows in London, the man is releasing videos on a weekly basis, the man is releasing almost an album a year, plus extra songs...and just because he won't allow "fans" to use his image, etc at free will - while they diss him and express all forms of hate towards him, he comes out as the villain? NO.

for years Prince allowed ppl to post images of himself here and elsewhere, but once HE starts feeling unappreciated (yes, the hate), why should he continue to do it? personally, i don't see why. in the future, true fans could start another site FORBIDDING the hate, and I'm sure Prince would allow years of sharing his image, etc...but until that day -

enjoy what we had - because the haters are the ones who caused the problems, greediness, etc. THEY want to tell Prince what to release, how to release, that it's okay for his material to be bootlegged and sold by them. LOL.

maximum respect to Prince.org and the other "big 2" for keeping us up to date, etc...but, Prince does not really need this site. believe it or not, there are other fans out there who will continue to support him and he has the know-how and vision to keep new listeners hip to his artistic creations.
