Lest we forget..... I'm a new Orger,in fact, this is the ONLY fan site I visit--Why? Because when I first joined the topics were about Prince's music and career -- all the great stuff I missed over the years. The photos were wonderful and the topics inspired interesting and funny comments.
Then all the Prince bashing started. Yet, this site continued to post pictures which seemed to be o.k. That was, until some continued to bash and to discuss pretty disrespectable crap that no one really knows about and it was all speculation. O.k. free speech and all, I guess but the bashing continued (you know who you are) and grew louder and louder. Then, those same types brought other websites' troubles onto this one. Now the web sheriff has paid attention -- just couldn't shut the f@@@k up when we had it good! I say it's the haters on this site who messed things up.  | |

Newbie, you havent been around long enough to judge The Org and its members. This is an on and off thing with Prince. In the mid to late 90s there was a similar incident. Good point, but in a world dominated by the internet, and with an artist that very much relies on a dwindling fan base, its quite possible that without an org, there will be no one left interested in Prince. Catch 22. And guess what, the org didn't want a fight, Prince did. . |

You might be asking the wrong person this question--I read and I'm pretty knowledgeable about Politics. I don't discuss my voting selections publicly and I certainly wouldn't use this forum to discuss them now. That being said, take my word for it, I've got a pretty good head on my shoulders and I'm very astute when it comes to politics. I learned long ago that you can't un-do what you've already done, so I tend to think about my selections very carefully in the first place. Hope this answers your Q. | |

Some at the beginning, some in the middle and some at the end. As much as I respect where the individual is on their path, those that have just come to the .org do not have the same history as those that have been here awhile and it matters when discussing something that is impacting the .org the way this is. When all is said and done, Prince will come through this just fine.
Prince has weathered bad press and ridicule before, and he'll do it again. And all the knee-jerk reactionaries who claim Prince hates his fans will be left looking foolish just like those who predicted Prince's career would end when he left WB. Some of the pictures will return, Prince fans will claim victory, or at least those who participated in the PFU, and Prince will continue to create great music and perform extraordinary shows. As a longtime orger, I've certainly enjoyed the online Prince community and I've definitely gotten news about Prince that the mainstream press has ignored. But I have to say that I've gotten far more enjoyment and gratification from Prince live in concert and on record than from any online site. | |

I have invested much of my time and emotion, and some of my money in Prince. He didn't tell me I had to. He didn't even ask me to and that's fine. I feel how I feel and I don't hold Prince responsible for that. I don't like being told, by Prince, his minions or anyone else, how I choose to feel about him or how I choose to express/discuss it.
