Will we ever see Prince Rock & Funk Again?

Will there ever be another tune as funky as Housequake or rocking as Darling Nikki? Man the guy is hitting 50 right? Weren't the Stones pulling shit out of their ass at that age, making big moves? David Bowie hit his prime in the 80s at 40 right?

With Prince you never know what he's gonna pull.

I never thought he would EVER obtain any semblance or record sales again, then he did Musicology.

After 3121, I was certain the days of his P&R fuckups were over, then PFU happened.

You never know with Prince. Predicting him is like wondering Britney Spears next P&R mishap is going to be. You just never know.

To me,lately Prince has a heavier rock/funk vibe when he plays live. His guitar is louder in the mix at the shows and sounds more prominent than in the studio recordings (for example, compare the studio version of "Fury" to how he played it on SNL).

I DID like PFU and C&D that he put on the 3121 site. It almost sounded like the ghost of Jimi was on C&D.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The creative and inspired person within continues to create innovative and beautiful music, whether it be ballads, rock or funk. You cannot take out of the man what he is inside of him, he is highly inspired and unique and the gifts he is blessed with comes from God. He is surely blessed!
