Prince's "dad" in American Gangster

Just been watching the new Denzel Washington movie "American Gangster". In the opening scenes there is an actor playing Bumpy Johnson. I couldn't quite place who he was and then I realized... it's Prince's "movie dad" Clarence Williams III (Francis L. in Purple Rain). Strangely enough I didn't notice his name in the movie credits. It's a great movie btw biggrin

It's definitely him... he's playing Bumpy Johnson who dies of a heart attack in the first 5 minutes. He's not listed in the credits which is strange confused

Yes, it's him! Just go check out the movie and don't be late. He dies in the first few minutes.

Clarence Williams III has been in several movies since Purple Rain including Sugar Hill with Wesley Snipes-he played a father strung out on heroin. The man is a good actor.

I saw his face yesterday, when I was watching the trailer. It's nice to see that he's still out there working.
God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

My Sister and I saw that movie....wasn't supposed to but we did. Till this day we still laugh over the one story where this guy of the caucasion persuasion gets attacked by those little "slave" dolls that lived under the house. I won't go into what statement he makes when he tries to fight back, but it was hilarious to us! cool
