Purple Rain-Deleted Scenes? ok, so i have a Work Print dvd of Purple Rain, ive had it 4 a year now and just getting around 2 watching the complete film, i noticed that theres not really any extra scenes, but a few lines that didnt make it in2 the actual film. I was actually hoping the sex scene with Prince and Apollonia was gonna b in it, but i was dissapointed,
So i put in my Purple Rain 20th anniversary dvd and watched the trailer and noticed a bunch of stuff that didnt make it 2 the work print or the official film like the footage of Morris and Apollonia running 2gether from prince's house or when prince hits jellybean I wonder, y arent the deleted scenes officially released by now??and i heard that the deleted scenes are gonna b on the HD version or Blu Ray | |

No, they do not appear anywhere officially. They're all in the vault. Yeah, there are so many deleted scenes from that movie, it's a shame that none of this stuff has saw the light of day except as teasers. Like The Kid's piano solo he did (playing parts of the previously unreleased song 'Wednesday') during his meeting with Jill Jones at First Avenue, where she gives him the "Slow Grooves" tape made by Wendy and Lisa. That scene was longer, the controversial sex scene at the barn, the altercation with The Kid and The Time during Apollonia 6's rehearsal that featured The Kid and Jellybean fighting. The performances of the previously unreleased songs 'Electric Intercourse' and 'G-Spot' by The Revolution at First Avenue. I've heard that alot of the deleted scenes that were in the script (for the most part) was filmed. The extended scene of Apollonia running from the cab driver in the beginning of the movie. The extended scene of The Kid and Apollonia in his basement where she presented him with the white guitar and The Kid slaps Apollonia. It's alot of alternate scenes that would make the movie even better, at least I think so. Maybe one day we may finally get to see all of this stuff. | |

Yep. I agree. I just wish Vanity would have kept her ass in the film. It would have been a lot darker and sinister, like originally planned. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Yep. I agree. I just wish Vanity would have kept her ass in the film. It would have been a lot darker and sinister, like originally planned.  Indeed. The intensity would have burned up the screen along with soundtrack. | |
