Thibaut

I prefer a remix or alternate version over a video.

I hope the next jam of the week will be a new song again.

I kinda expected he would do the video and a new jam.

But it's cool. I'm happy

He doesn't even have to do this.

so cool

Thank u p

I never liked that Chelsea song to begin with so the video doesn´t do much for me. The acoustic version of LOVE on the other hand is great, I always loved that song and to hear a different incarnation of a song I already like is one of the many things that make Prince a very special musician. Reminds me of the times when he would constantly rework a classic song and come up with something even more interesting, like he did with Something In The Water, I Hate U, Space etc..etc.

I like Prince first and foremost because of his music. Therefore I will always prefer a new tune rather than a video although at least for the moment he is putting new stuff on his website so I ain't complaining.

It's a rare treat to hear an alternate version/remix -- especially recently. Who really cares about a video...and a mediocre one, at that? It's not like any of the video outlets are actually going to run it. And gawd forbid we should...ya know...be able to download it. rolleyes

I would rather see a video of a dog shitting in the grass than to hear a hard jam like "Love" turned into a country/western sounding song.
Andy is a four letter word.

Not really right. Love was a treat from no where...that's why everyone (Except Andy) loved it. There was a build up for this video. Obviously there's a lot of excitement around it...look at how long the thread is. If the video were right, it would probably have more love than Love.

The original version of LOVE is wonderful, the accoustic verison does take abit longer before it will grow on you. It is amazing how different the same song can make you feel with a different mix.

I love the new video of Chelsea Rogers, P looks good in it and the song is fantastic. BTW, is there any girls out here taking any notice on MW next season's clothes as well, stylish with beautiful material. I am sure I will go to check them out next season.

Whoaaah ! I know you started feeling like this waaaaay back when ATWIAD came out and Prince had , in your opinion, crossed over and become too "white" and pop-oriented with all the strings and psychedelic stuff but don´t you think you´re being a bit unfair with all your ATWIAD/Parade etc. hatred ? lol

I mean, he never was "just" Funk, he´s been representing a multitude of styles from day one, and he was deeply into Joni´s music way before he met Lisa and Wendy...so that "country/western sounding " stuff was always part of his musical identity, wasn´t it ? I can really relate to where you´re coming from because I grew up with old school HipHop and Funk and Soul and considered Prince a true Funk/Soul artist, best represented by Dirty Mind/1999/Purple Rain and that cold synth lines but that´s only because I wasn´t familiar with his other influences and his softer music.

You´re dissing this wonderful acoustic version a bit too hard I guess.I´m shocked ! lol
