Mistaken lyrics oK, I get this idea from a previous post where there was mention of the lyrics people have accidentally been signing ...only to find them to be completely wrong!
Or maybe there are some you cant work out so you made your own up? I thought this could make for an amusing thread. I'll start if off with Chelsea Rodgers and the confusion between Butt like a leather seat or letter C ... I'm sure I'll find some more as I listen to some CDs throughout the week and remember my confusion,... come on, share your silly stories.. | |

I think Raspberry Beret has to be the most misheard Prince song.
My friend thought it was "working part time in a bar and dine".....my favorite one is someone thought the lyrics were "It was the last ferry boat race"! LOL |

i kinda remember there was some confusion over the lyrics of "scarlet pussy", over the line 'young green teenager, filthy rich yuppie' which got discussed in the Controversy fanzine, and prince read it and found it so funny that he sent a handwritten copy of the lyrics 2 put in the next edition of the magazine.
anyone got a copy or scan of it ? | |

I remember Adore I said
"100% italian ponys dripped in lace" instead of "100 % italian silk imported egyptian lace" I had to actually go a look-up the lyrics to get it right!
