I HATE when Prince....

It absolutely drives me nuts to hear him change the lyrics of his own songs during a concert. I’ve been a huge fans for 20+ years but this whole Jehovah Witness/Squeaky Clean Prince is killing me!! I’ve been listening to the London 02 Arena Finale Live Concert and he did it 4 times (Irresistible Bitch, Darling Nikki, Erotic City, and DMSR) at least during DMSR he sang (girl it aint no use, you might as well get loose, so work that body like you “WANT SOME MORE”) Come on!! He wouldn’t even attempt the Lyrics to Darling Nikki, Erotic City or Irresistible Bitch he would start and then say “Awwww…I can’t sing that”. What’s next ? rereleasing albums with revised lyrics? This REALLY bothers me!!!!

Alternatively, he could opt not to do the songs at all.

I'm pleased that he changes the lyrics - his approach and attitude regarding his religion and what he does is a lot better than other people who supposedly find God, but use it only on their own terms when it suits them.

Me personally, I'd rather him not sing the song at all if he's gonna change the lyrics.

personally, i would rather watch the tape of a 25 year old prince singing about a girl masturbating with a magazine, and do it with conviction, than watch the near 50 year old prince singing about it live without feeling, but like i say, that's personally.

it's prince's party, and we all is just invitees! if he wants 2 pop a few of the balloons we ain't gonna stop him.

He sais "All My Purple Life" on the Erotic City samply once, and then we "Thats just too funky for ya'll"

When he done Darling Nikki and said "i cant play that" He actually sounded like he was gutted he couldnt do it

Hey, it's his music who are we to tell him he shouldn't do what he wants with it! Some of us are saying that they rather not hear the song at all, and that's cool until he actually stops playing these song and then we are all "I wish he would play these songs again, he hasn't played them in so long. I'll even except the version he does with the cleaner lyrics!"
