I write all of my really meaningful dreams down.
Luckily I wrote this down, so I'll just copy/paste it.

I wouldn't call it "advice", exactly. But he told me something important that I'll never forget.

I had no idea how long his hair was, but I'm pretty sure he was 39, 40 or 41 year-old Prince, just getting off the high of being emancipated from WB. It's strange cuz he ended up staying for my family for a while for no apparent reason, just during the tour I guess. And I got to see him all the time with his notebook and such. He gave a couple of my friends (got no idea which ones) autographs and he gave me one... but only said "Thanx [my name]".

So later on in the dream, I asked him what inspires him. He said "everything." Then I asked, "just like other artists?" He shook his head, "No, it comes from in here." I turn to him and he's pointing to his heart with his right hand. I gave a smile, "So you write from your heart?" Then he nodded with a smile.

Thank you for clarifying, I thought it was on the Symbol Album. When I had that album on cassette, I clearly remember seeing the "Prince likes to hug" in the liner notes. But when I looked at the liner notes on my CD, I did not see it. I no longer have the cassette, so I can't go back and look, but it was definitely on there.

I had a weird dream about him the other night:

I was at the o2, heavily pregnant (hah!) and Prince was walking around meeting small groups of lucky people, being in a 'delicate' state I decided to stay to one side so that I wouldn't get crushed by the mad fans. He noticed me and came towards me but at that moment my waters broke and I doubled over in pain - the look of shock on his face was priceless! He ordered that I be taken to his dressing suite (yes, 'suite' as apposed to 'room'!) It was very sumptuous in the there with loads of throws, drapes, cushions and comfy seating, he made sure that I was comfortable and lit some candles, put some soft music on and contacted someone about medical attention. I thought he was gonna leave and I was getting upset and asked him to stay with me. Well, cutting a long story short he held my hand, talked and sang to me as I gave birth. He was very moved by the experience.

STRANGE DREAM!!! It was very sweet though and he kept me calm and close to him. In reality I don't doubt that he would have walked off leaving someone else to deal with me...

BTW - I'm SOOO not pregnant, I have a 3 year old and she's quite enough for me thanks!

Anyway - Back to the hugs I don't think that I would attempt to hug him if I met him in real life - I know he doesn't really do the whole hugging thing, so I'd probably shake his hand (after picking myself up off the floor!) and then try to stop myself gushing nonsense at him...

I'm sorry that some people are such assholes, Prince.

Some drunken fool took their glow stick and threw it at Prince, hitting him in the back. I can't believe the nerve of some people!! here is the thread:

Me too. I guess people said he just continued on like nothing had ever happened. I give him credit, because if that would have happened to me, I probably would have stomped offstage and the concert would have been over.

I don't know about that. I remember back when one of Prince's CDs came out, and it said in the liner notes, "Prince loves 2 hug". I'm not sure which CD it was on, but I remember reading it.

Okay, we had a thread where we were giving each other hugs. I thought it might be a good idea to give Prince some hugs, since he is what brought us all together and he is why we all come here.
