Chevy uses Symbol O(+> in Little Red Corvette ads!! Today I saw a Chevrolet billboard ad for the Corvette and it showed the lower back end (side view) of a Red Corvette and the caption to the right said "Little Red Corvette. Baby you're much too fast". Here's the kicker, right underneath the caption was the symbol ! Is this a technicality for them to use the phrase or are they confused? Maybe the person in charge of that campaign is a hardcore P fan 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Sold, nothing. Warners owns that song, and when Prince left the label, he went by . Simple.

Sold, nothing. Warners owns that song, and when Prince left the label, he went by . Simple. Warner Bros. doesn't own that song. Prince does. they only own the original sound recording of it. Prince owns the publishing for it, which is now administered by Universal. if anyone sold out, it's Prince. it would have been his decision.

So Warners has nothing at all to do with his back catalogue? Is this different because it's a quote, not the actual song? [This message was edited Mon Sep 30 11:59:46 PDT 2002 by tommyalma]

It's because they're his lyrics (a publishing issue), and has nothing to do with the sound recording. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Warner Bros. only lays claim to the acutual sound recordings that were released under that contract. all of Prince's publishing ties with Warner Bros. expired in 1999. His publishing is handled by Universal now.
