Discuss: All The Midnights in the World Here is your thread to discuss this track only - instead of scanning the main sticky - Enjoy, June7 from a movie scene. I said, "Don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round?" Rest in Peace Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009 |

I hated this song when I first heard it, but it is growing on me. It sounds like a song Prince would put on a kids album, but if I think back 2 SOTT...I did love Starfish And Coffee. I just wish he had put some sprinkles o spice of rhythm guitar in here or some weird sounds 2 make this short song a little more interesting and different. Don't u want to come , 3121. It's gonna be so much fun, 3121. That's where the party be, 3121. Y'all can come if u want to, but u can never leave!

A bit too Pollyanna and sappy for my tastes...sorry. "After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill...the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Its indeed very short, lightweight on purpose, but actually a smarter composition then it sounds on first hearing.

I really love how the second verse 'kicks in' with the drums and the background vocals.

It's Prince collaborating with Wendy and Lisa after Wendy and Lisa have been collaborating with Neil Finn.

I've been listening to the album in order over and over, and I NEVER feel like listening to this song. Is it the sequencing? Is it his vocals?

This is my least favorite track so far. I think you answered your own question. It is between 2 AMAZING tracks. And not just AMAZING tracks on this album but AMAZING period. I think this track is kinda boring. It doesn't do much for me at this point. Maybe it will grow on me.

It sounds like 'Here Comes Santa Claus' by Bob B. Soxx And The Blue Jeans.

Another great song...it's like a long lost cousin of Starfish & coffee. Now this is another great example of a perfect pop tune.

Really didn't like this at first but it's grown on me. By co-incidence it has been playing while I've been reading this thread and something just clicked. Not my favourite on the album but not the worst either. And now for a cup of tea.

I think it's one of the better songs on the album. It's got a bit of a Joni Mitchell vibe to it (circa Ladies of the Canyon) which I quite like
