I honestly don't understand the Love for Lovesexy that goes on here. I think the whole thing is like a big old wheel of cheese. Glam Slam? ugh. Positivity? lame.

Ill say that Alphabet St., Dance On, Anna and Love Sexy, are solid songs, I just think the weight of his "new" religious notions burdens the album and ultimately brings it down. Really Anna is only great cause its so confusing lyrically and everyone reads so much into it depending on their own interpretation of prince at the time.

And the production aged this album almost immediately.

and i didn't mention when 2 r n love cause it was where it should have stayed.

are u an emancipation fan??? wink

Part of, for me at least, P's golden era. 1981-89
Although my fave years are 85-88 or
Around The World In A Day
Parade
Dream Factory or Crystal Ball/SOTT/Camille
Black Album
Lovesexy

The farthest he ever went musically consistently. IMO.
Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
