another dumb skeptical Planet Earth thread

I feel bad for judging this album rather then enjoying the aniticipation before it's available, but when I went on 3121.com, one of the pictures had what look to be lyrics on it that said "a model used 2 b a role model"...

So as a someone who already hears enough "well back in my day"'s from my parents, I'm kind of worried this album might be ten tracks of moral refroms aimed to set me on the right track. (however i still anticipate it like crazy!)

I guess what i'm asking is what matters more to you with this album? his musicianship or lyrical content. Are you apathetic/neutral? because that's coo' too.. razz

bye!

since "a model used 2 b a role model" is completely stupid and inaccurate, i wouldn't worry about it too much.

it's more "CONtract" type bullshit, I'm guessing.

hahaha, sorry. on Prince's website there was a picture that said "a model used 2b a role model" and I'm assuming it's a lyric. based on that, i'm afraid the new album might be a little too conservative for my taste. I was just wondering what ment more to everyone with this album, lyrics vs. musicianship. or both. smile

I've complained about Prince's lyrics and music the past few years, but I really have appreciated the effort he's made to climb back to the top. Whatever helps him continue to work hard and produce some very good music and amazing performances, then I think it's great. The path to greatness in music is littered with sad stories of drugs, depression, mental illness and Michael Jackson. Prince is a true professional and we give him too much heat here on the org when we feel he under delivers.

By the way, I remember model trains.
