I know, its late, but i have today heard The Chocolate invasion for the first time. I have listened to a few songs that did sound interesting more times.

But i must say, apart from Vavoom (playfull, quirky, a fun-type of song), U make my sun shine and some of the instrumental parts on Judas smile, this album seems filled with totally generic and bland songs.

And i thought New Power Soul was bad allready.... pffff

What are your thoughts on this album? any songs you enjoy?

I like that version of the Dance better. However, I like the Prince rant in the 3121 version.

In fact, I like the entire TCI CD.

between the proposed tracklist for High, all of the misc. downloads through NPGMC, and the singles that were "released" from this batch of songs, I couldn't even tell you which tracks make up "The Chocolate Invasion"

You have to take into account that it's not really a proper album, just a collection of one-off tracks from the NPGMC c.2000/01. So as an "album", it's pretty weak. But there are some nice tracks. If these tracks were never released officially but turned up on the bootleg market and sounding like they were recorded using an old tape recorder, then everyone would be raving about them!
