I've got 3 copies of the album coming to me in London with my tickets. So I'll wait and see if they're the full retail version before I buy it.

I'll download it. The days of "going to the shop" are over. What, I'm going to walk into a crowded, overpriced FYE, Best Buy, etc, deal with the morons on the road and in the store? Ha. The internet makes it possible to get your stuff right away. All of my music is on my ipod anyway, I don't ever pull out my CDs anymore. Plus, there's no guarantee you'll be alive on July 24, so why not listen now, when you actually are alive? I want the full experience of going to the shop, buying the CD, admiring the packaging, desperate to get home to listen to the damn thing and then that exquisite moment where you put it in the CD player for the first time and blast it out in full, quality sound. Same goes for me. I'm not so much into downloading myself (unless I'm given an offer I can't refuse)... But I definitely want to do the very same thing. But I probably will stay away from reviews or any threads about it here until I do get it... cuz I want to be surprised and I don't want to develop a bias... I'm pretty convinced that one of the reasons I liked The Word was becuase people raved about it. I want to rave for my own reasons, not be swayed by the opinions of others. Nothign beats the experience of going to the store, going straight to the cd's and seeing Prince's new album all over the shelfs, and picking up your copy and racing home and jamming to it all day. I'm kinda glad I want to wait.
All I know is that The one u wanna C, Someone here on Earth and Furture Baby Mama are all ballads, as stated on the promo flyer posted on HQ. So it's a little heavy on the ballads for me, but of course they could be all up to the standards of Adore and so that would be fine, just praying theres not another On the Couch, Satisfied. Also Wendy and Lisa make guest appearcences, so are on more than one song i think and Sheila E also appears. Itsays its a throwback to his 1980's sound. Anyway check it out.
