I agree with an above poster, it's too pop. A driving guitar riff and harder pounding groove would have made it killer. I'm sure it'll be great live, but like most of his rock efforts, they're watered down on the record.

Actually, listening to it again, the instumentation sounds like AC/DC round about Powerage. That's a good thing.

This gets worse with every listen. A shameful waste of some nice guitar playing. Too bad he couldnt be bothered to come up with a song to go along with it.

listening to a clean version, there's some great subtleties to it...but...lyrically,and overall musically, it's lacking....the title gives it so much room for greatness..>I think if it was simply re-titled, expectations of the tune would change and it might seem better...i unno...there's just 1 thing I can't put my finger that makes the project not click....I'm sure it's great live...a born 2 b live tune a la Days of Wild in a sense...but I digress...can't form a solid opinion so lemme shut up...

I was really hoping to like this song, but what a yawner.

Ahh....this has been changed, sounds like U2 - not sure if i like it as much - its less funky than the original - still has a good beat though.

Finally. I'm able to listen to it on the computer instead of on my phone.

The quality of this mp3 is very bad compared to the version on the Sony's website. The sound is far clearer on the Sony's website version.

Yes, thats it, the riff is pretty much the same as on I will Follow by U2. Im surprised he made it so similar, esp the intro. On further listens though think it may grow on me - i like the background synth melodies near the end and the jokey voice Prince does when he says 'I tried to warn you...' etc.
