Who should Prince record with next?

I think its long overdue for a recording with the King Of Pop Michael Jackson. Also, I can see Prince doing a song with Sir Elton John. How about Outkast appearing on a Prince song or LL Cool J? Can't forget the females. India Arie, Angie Stone, or Beyonce' would or could make good collaborators for Prince. Who do you think?
Peace and be wild!

I think he'd make a great collaboration with Weird Al Yankovich or even better would be Willie Nelson. I think Bjork should produce his next album too!

I'd like to see him collaborate with someone outside the standard 'soul/RnB' circle. Maybe people like:

Wynton Marsalis
Beck
Bjork

Would be some interesting results there I think. At least it would be different.

and thank God for that.

I don't buy into Prince parodies... it's nothing compared to the real thing... i see it as an insult.

As for the question...

c'mon, Prince is better going solo. I'd rather him not share the spotlight. cool

Coming from Weird AL it's not. Weird AL normally does really good jobs with his songs. Prince's Ego is too much where he can't see the humor that someone else might see.

If that's the case, then woot! for Prince's ego.
giggle but that's not saying much since I'll side with him on just about anything.

Tupac and Biggie.

He should try to merge East Coast and West Coast in one harmonious blend.

Snap

people need to quit mijac'ing these threads disbelief

seriously tho, i think prince would do well working with some producers who are true musicians -- and not names we already know -- but some person(s) he could click with and inspire him -- maybe some new blood like another jblackwell berklee student -- get them in the studio to do the mess around -- ordo ab chao might make some interesting results

For me - he never was - and for the world - he no longer is the self-proclaimed wannabe "King Of Pop".

Prince should never record with this MJ guy.
I pray to heaven, that this will never ever happen !!!!!

It wouldn't hurt for him to have some features on his next release. Personally I'd like to; see him work with someone like Keith Crouch. Anything other than another Musicology or 3121 album would work for me.

I think magic could be woven with either or both Santana and David Gilmour! cool
He could even compare notes with George Michael on how to get back at the record companies! razz
