Purple Rain - The Movie - Question

Hi 2 all!

I was watching Purple Rain yesterday (I think it must be at least for the 100 time) with my wife, and as I have been to MPLS 16 years ago, she asked me, where at all these places I have been. I was glad enough to see the 1st avenue, the glam slam and Paisley Park Studios and talked to a barkeeper at the 1st avenue who said, that he was there when they filmed Purple Rain.

don't know, if this was still discussed/questioned: are there any orgers, that have been in the audience during these concerts and are to see actually in the movie?

Unfortunately i have never seen prince.SAD, very sad.I'm in australia(perth).He only went 2 Melbourne last time he was here.I'll b flying over next time.He betta do a world tour or sumones gonna pay! You're so lucky.

What do you think, is there a chance that one of the orgers have been ther back in 1983.

i've never been 2 mplsbut it is soomewhere i've always wanted 2 go 2, esp 1st ave!, (even though i was rubbished the other nite in the chatroom 4 sayin that i'd ove 2 go).

I think some people are misunderstanding the original poster's question (or I am).

I think he's asking if anyone HERE on the org was an audience member for the FILMING of the concert sequences in the MOVIE.

thanks for clearing out things - thats exactly what I wanted 2 know!

I am pretty sure that some of the audience members back than in 83 have been prince fans - maybe they are still prince fans and read / write here on the org.

@primsose - I liked mpls very much! even though many of the us-citizens I talked to, don't know, how one can visit mpls, because they think, there is winter the whole year thru! it's a very friendly and nice town!

They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park ...

I was not in PR (GB yes) but I know where some of the places were shot.

Not sure what your question is. Why not just post them and see if anyone responds. There are a lot of people who were in the movie that are still around. Not sure if they are on this site. Q Bear is one of them.

I was one of the guys that Big Chick beat up and threw out of the club at the beginning of the movie. Dude messed up my jheri curl.
