I believe that we are drawn to people who exhibit qualities that we recognize and like in ourselves -- or that we aspire to. I think a lot of people wish they could be as audacious as Prince...or dress like him without being clowned...or elicit the kind of adulation he does.

Fantasizing about him sexually isn't really about sex. (I suspect he does it pretty much like anyone else.) It's about accessing those desired qualities and pulling them into yourself.

Prince has been in the musical spotlight for years, on tv, in concert, on radio, and it's a big turn on for women to see a famous attractive guy being so confident on camera, and everyone has at least one Prince song in their collection they really like, whether they admit to it or not. He's hugely world famous, and the music/unusual image is obviously the main driving factor in his appeal. Everyone knows who Prince is. He has manipulated/promoted himself with such mystique and androgyny that he has set himself apart from the "average" person. i totally agree with u, i've been a fan 4 20 years and i was drawn 2 him when i was growing i loved that he could wear heels, make up and not give a fuck about wot people thought!, my husband has been sayin 4 years that he hated that little squealer, but one nite he admitted 2 owning a prince video and that he actually is a closet fan!

I watched GB again the other day and was so turned on by the chain around his waist and the way you can see his stomach in many of his outfits. This has always been the case but I analyzed it a little bit more....if I passed a man looking like (if P didn't exist) that on the street I would probably bust up laughing and think he looked like a clown. What is it specifically about Prince that gives him a Get out of Jail Free card? In the run of the mill sense, P's characteristics would put him on the lower end of the sexiness scale. Frail, makeup, heels, short and his attitude are not what is usually considered attractive.
