When an album comes out, the threads will be different. Of course with a new album there will probably be new pics too so bring them on.. I think the title of this thread is something one should just mutter to themselves because if you post on here where u think the problem originated it will be jacked by those you feel are bringing down the quality of Prince threads. In my opinion the only way to correct the problem is to start threads you consider to be of high "quality" yourself. Starting a discussion about what u consider is a problem without being a part of the solution isn't productive. I don't have a problem with the threads here because I didn't start them. When I want to discuss something I will start a thread about that particular topic. I don't see anything wrong with the live let live stand on the issue of threads.

i saw the words 'Russell Brand', and then i saw celebrity as a packet of loreal makeup. sold over the counter. in a posh bag. which may or not be recycled. and then they all died.

Another factor that has NOT been discussed here already.

There are a handful of people here who could post some information on what Prince is doing and has been doing the past few weeks. The problem is, there are no links, or so called sources to post. Since everything must be accompanied by a source or a link of some sort, U get get no REAL news.....

ok..coupla things on this one...1st..it's very condescending and 2nd The only reason I feel you even have a point is because you've exaggerated the situation to a level where it would maybe be point worthy, by using words like "over run" "taken over" "idolization" "worshiping" where in fact the site has not been "taken over" or "over run" by anyone.

Prince.org goes thru it's shares of up' and down's in's and out's. Like any other website. I have been here for a loooong time and honestly, things could be alot worse. One things that always happens is that people will forget they have lives outside of the internet and become consumed with things that people say on a website.

Honestly, why be picky over a topic of choice?...Our main goal is to talk about anything Prince related, right? Hence the website PRINCE.org, if you dont like the threads some people may write, skip it! Guaranteed, when you come back a few days later, there will be a whole new batch of threads, some good, some bad. Dont worry!

i agree with pandurito, its the closing of ngpmc that has caused the odd change in this forum...

my solution? i just don't visit this forum as much...while i am annoyed by the new tone this forum has it really isn't my place to dictate how or what folks should discuss...as long as its within site rules i guess we just have to deal with it...

The problem is that the music related posts get pushed to other pages before the interesed people get a chance to read them. Hence the feeling of a "take-over".

My suggestion would be to split up the forum into:

"Prince: Music" and

"Prince: Pictures and sexual fantasies" - or something like it.
